The Castleton Village Store is in the center of historic Castleton which serves the local community, and is located beside Castleton State College in the western Green Mountains on the banks of Lake Bomoseen. The 100-year old historic Castleton Village Store provides one of the largest selection of wines in Vermont including the local varietals such as Lacresent, St. Croix, Marquette, and Frontenac. We have a knowledgeable staff to help guide you through your purchase whether it be wine, Vermont micro-brews, artisan cheeses, pure Vermont maple syrup, or other Vermont specialty foods. We pride ourselves on our continual support of local farmers through sales of farm fresh eggs, meats, sausage, cheese and vegetables from the Champlain valley and its importance in the localivore movement. The Village Store is not only a great wine shop in Rutland County but also the hub of this local community.
